November to January

The classic Indian Summer weather held for a tour to Our Graceland (Tennessee Valley).  Instead of the usual luncheon at one of the picnic tables we took advantage of the windless, fogless day and carried our wares and lunch to the ocean's edge.  After all, what could be better than a dessert of chocolate and almond covered figs and the Pacific Ocean?

After lunch and a stroll on the beach, everyone was up for extending the day so we detoured through Mill Valley, gave a nod to the redwood grove, and finished off with coffee at the local coffee/bookstore/hang-out.

It rained for most of December and boy did we need it!

Happy New Year!  Here we are on January 1 gearing up for a fantastic cycling season ahead.  February and March will produce emerald green hillsides (a brief window before they turn golden brown) and  chartreuse sprigs of new growth on the redwoods.

Stay tuned for an April event that will include a wine tasting (post ride) and a visit from the winemakers of Windy Oaks Estate in Santa Cruz!

Cold toes, runny noses, but a happy new year!
